Data collection (extension)

The DevHeaders browser extension does not collect, transmit, or share any user data. All configuration — profile names, header keys and values (which may include tokens you enter) — is stored only locally on your device via chrome.storage.local. The extension makes no network requests of its own, contains no analytics, no tracking, and no external servers or dependencies.

How header modification works

Header modification is performed via Chrome's declarativeNetRequest API. Rules are applied by the browser; the extension never reads, records, or transmits your browsing traffic or page content.

Exporting your data

Data leaves your device only if you explicitly export your configuration to a JSON file and share it.

Cookies & analytics (website only)

This website, devheaders.com, uses Google Analytics to understand site traffic. It only runs if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner — nothing loads until you consent, and you can withdraw consent anytime via "Cookie preferences" in the footer. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. This tracking applies only to your visit to this website and is entirely separate from the extension, which remains untracked as described above.
